Welcome to my humble tribute to the Blues.

Blues is Life

Without the blues, the world would not even be close to being the same as it is now. Blues has permeated through all aspects of life. Blues was the inspiration for nearly every kind of music and musician today. You know about the six degrees of separation, well with the blues it is even less. A Blues influence could be traced from every musician today. The blues are the first true American form of music. We can't even claim rock and roll, and why would be want to claim rap? Damn right we've got the blues, and we should be proud of it.

The Blues Overtook Me

I have only come to this realization in the past few years. I listened to rock like most other kids my age, I had some favorite bands and artists. All I ever did was hear music though, I didn't really start to listen to music until I discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan. After I started to listen to him, I couldn't get enough. Now my collection of just SRV is of over 20 CD's, 2 videos, and 2 books, and it still isn't enough. I just can't afford any more since I am still in college. After learing more about SRV and his influences, I just HAD to hear what could inspire someone like this. That led me to B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, and of course his big brother, Jimmie Vaughan. I've been hooked ever since.

How Blue Can You Get?

After delving deep into the blues, I have gotten inspired by what I have experienced from it. I have gotten a guitar and lamely started to learn to plunk around on it. I have also volunteered my time with an excellent site, www.allexperts.com, as an expert in Blues, SRV, Clapton, and the Rolling Stones. If you have a question, go there and I am sure someone there can answer it. And just how blue can you get? Well the answer is right there in your heart.

So What's This All About?

It's all about the blues.

Glad you could make it this far, as you can see there isn't much to this page at the moment, which is something I hope to remedy. For now check out my links.
